We’ve all been there: You’re late to work, behind the wheel, going a bit sooner than it is best to, when out of the blue your rear-view mirror lights up blue and crimson. Shit. Now you’re gonna be much more late, after handing over your license and registration and getting your self a shiny new rushing ticket in alternate.
But at the very least one cop in Orlando thinks, it appears, that they’re above this all-too-common state of affairs. After being pulled over for touring practically double the posted restrict in his cruiser, the cop was indignant at being stopped — after which merely drove off.
The Orlando officer was touring via the Seminole County Police Department’s jurisdiction with neither lights nor sirens lively, in accordance with bodycam footage, and was clocked at 80 in a forty five zone. When pulled over by a Seminole County officer, the Orlando cop didn’t appear to know what was occurring — he was on his technique to work, you see, and rushing doesn’t depend in the event you’re late. Or in the event you’re a cop, even whenever you aren’t actively on obligation.
After refusing at hand over his license, the Orlando cop merely received again in his cruiser and left, ignoring the path of sirens behind him. He was arrested and charged with reckless driving, resisting an officer, and fleeing and eluding a regulation enforcement officer.
The Orlando cop was later “relieved of duty” pending an inside investigation. Orlando police gave the next assertion to WESH:
“The Orlando Police Department was notified by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, June 9th that OPD Officer Alexander Shaouni was involved in an incident that occurred in Seminole County that resulted in criminal charges,” OPD stated in a press release. “Officer Shaouni has been relieved of duty pending the Seminole County Sheriff’s criminal investigation and OPD’s Internal Affairs investigation.”
